0004 - inside, a while before lunchtime - The Louvre
PANEL 1: The Survivor stands near a wall in the Louvre, a gym bag slung over her shoulder.
THE SURVIVOR: There's a comic book I read as a kid, about this master criminal.
PANEL 2: An elaborate marble staircase. Two red spray paint cans sit abandoned on a level bit of the staircase. Visible on the floor above, graffitied on the wall in red spray paint, is about half of the word FUCK.
THE SURVIVOR: (off-screen) She goes in, and she, well, she vandalises the thing she's after.
PANEL 3: In front of a window, behind which is visible one of the Louvre's iconic glass pyramids, a small stone bust of a man wearing a toga, from the statue's leg to just above the tip of the nose. The statue's one visible nipple has been crossed out with red spray paint. Also in red spray paint, the statue's upper lip has been graced with the presence of a simplistic moustache. A red can of spray paint stands between the window and a decorative black-and-gold marble-esque column.
THE SURVIVOR: (off-screen) It's not about taking things, but about showing the world she could, if she wanted to.
PANEL 4: The gym bag is now held up by the Survivor from just off-panel. We see sticking out of it some kind of axe, with a red haft. A small lens flare reflects on the metal head. In front of her, we see, in its iconic glass enclosure, but without the usual hordes of people in front of it, the Mona Lisa. THE SURVIVOR: Anyway.
